Giving - Our Response to God's Blessings

Why We Give

Giving is an expression of worship, and it commemorates God’s grace to us. Giving can take many forms – Christians can give of their time, their talent, their love, their prayers, and yes, they can give of their money.  At West Side Bible Church, all of these are needed, and we are grateful and blessed for every contribution.

Giving with the Right Attitude

Giving with the right attitude is important, and it is what West Side Bible Church stresses the most. As the Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 9:6 "…he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully"

Many Preachers and Churches focus on this when talking about giving, and they leave out the very next verse: "Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver." What this means is to give what you’re comfortable with. There’s no set amount, no percentage. Of course, we live in a material world just as you do, and finances are important for our success. So we ask that you give cheerfully, as you are led by the Lord, and His grace.

We would love to see you at West Side, participating in the service, fellowship, and giving. If this is not possible, we encourage your prayers and thoughts for us, and donations through this online giving link.
